Everyday Bite

Everyday Bite is a series that captures daily impressions through oil pastels, much like taking a meal each day. The project treats everyday emotions as small bites—moments to be savored, layered, and revisited.

Oil pastel is central to this process, offering a tactile, textured medium that echoes the immediacy and physicality of food. Its softness allows colors to be blended, pressed, and layered in ways reminiscent of spreading, slicing, or arranging ingredients, making it uniquely suited for translating food-inspired sensations into visual form.

Through this approach, Everyday Bite becomes a diary of sensory moments—each stroke reflecting the warmth, texture, and intimacy found in the act of eating.
