Meal
A series exploring how the experience of eating can become visual form.
Not only in what is on the plate, but in the colors, textures, gestures, and traces that gather around a meal, the things that remain after the food itself is gone.
A key element of the series is the use of cooking foil on canvas. Familiar yet unexpected, the reflective surface belongs naturally to the visual language of kitchens, dining, and shared meals. The texture of cooking foil keeps shifting with every glance. sometimes sparkling, sometimes sharp. It’s a material meant to wrap leftovers, which means preserving the memory of a meal.
